A Family’s Thank-You to the South · Raksha & Bharath, Marwari Wedding

Raksha and Bharath have lived in Bangalore for years, long enough to fall for the South that took them in. So they thanked it the way a family does, with food and with cloth. There was a proper South Indian lunch. And every relative, North Indian to the core, turned up in a dhoti and shirt.

It is a small thing and a huge thing at the same time, a whole family choosing to honour the place they now call home. The wedding itself was full to the brim, ritual after ritual, emotion sitting right at the surface.
